Ten occasions · one boat

A Santorini private boat celebration, ten ways

The same Lagoon catamaran carries every occasion on this page. Five hours, up to 17 guests, €1,200 for the boat and €100 for each guest above eight.

€1,200 covers 8, then €100 each · 14:30 - 19:30 · The whole boat

Every occasion here runs on the same private Santorini catamaran: five hours, up to 17 guests, €1,200 for the first eight and €100 each after. Only the proposal cruise is priced differently, at €1,600 for ten. We supply the boat, the crew, the route and the timing. Flowers, cake and photographers are yours to arrange.

Ten pages sit under this one. They describe the same boat doing ten different jobs, and the honest answer to most of them is that you are booking a private cruise with a note attached.

So this page is the sorting exercise. How many of you there are, whether you want the morning or the evening, whether the boat has to be yours, and how much warning we need.

The numbers

What each occasion actually asks of a boat

Group size and time of day decide almost everything else. The notice column is what we ask for, not a rule — we have no published minimum, and a quiet week in May is a different question from a Saturday in July.

A private boat is never cheaper per head than a shared seat. At eight guests it works out at €150 each, falling as the group grows, and never below the €100 semi-private seat. What you buy is the route, the timing and nobody else's music. Every number we publish is on prices.

What we do, and what we do not do

We provide the boat, the crew, the route and the timing. That is the whole of our part, and we would rather say it now than on the morning.

We are not a planner. Flowers, a cake, a photographer, a celebrant, a violinist, a banner with your names on it — those are things you arrange, or your planner arranges. We do not book them for you and we do not mark them up.

We will work around anything you tell us in advance. If a photographer is coming aboard, say so and we will keep the deck clear and hold the boat on the angle they want. If a cake is arriving in a box, say so and there will be somewhere cold to put it. If something is a surprise, tell us who must not know.

We will not improvise on the day. Two or three crew cooking lunch for a boatload of people cannot also assemble a surprise nobody warned them about. A fortnight of notice turns a good idea into a plan.

We do not sell packages. There is no bundle here with petals and a photographer inside it at a mark-up. The proposal cruise costs more than a standard private charter for one reason, and it is a reason about time rather than about props: the boat is positioned and timed around a single half-hour.

Departures

The cruises the occasions run on

Six of our departures carry almost everything on this page. The two shared cruises live on the catamaran cruises hub; they work for a birthday nobody minds sharing, and for very little else on this list.

Which cruise fits which occasion

Two people, and being alone is the actual point. A private sunset cruise, €1,200 for up to eight. You pay for eight and use two. That is what buying the boat means, and the honeymoon page argues both sides of it.

A moment that has to land at a particular minute. The proposal cruise, €1,600 for up to ten. It is the only product here whose whole shape is a clock.

Six to seventeen people who want their own music. A private sunset charter. Above ten guests the ten-hour charter often reads better per head: €2,400 for ten, €100 each after, which is €182 a head at seventeen for twice the hours.

Children in the party. Morning, and private. The water is flatter before the wind gets up, and on your own boat nobody minds a four-year-old on the trampolines at 11:00.

A ceremony. A yacht wedding is by quote. A legal ceremony at sea in Greece needs an authorised celebrant and paperwork, and that sits with a wedding planner rather than with the boat. A symbolic ceremony on deck is far simpler.

Seventeen is the ceiling

A private charter is the whole boat. If your party is larger than 17, tell us early. We would rather say no in August than have you find out at the boat.

On board

What is in the price, whatever you are marking

The same list applies to every catamaran cruise on this site. Nothing is collected at the boat, and nothing on this list changes because the day is a birthday.

In the price

  • Return road transfer between your hotel and the boat
  • Greek and English speaking crew
  • A meal cooked on board: BBQ chicken and shrimp off the coals, Greek salad, pasta in tomato sauce, vine leaf rolls, and Greek dips with bread
  • Santorini white wine, cold beer, soft drinks and water
  • Snorkelling gear
  • Towels
  • Captain, crew, fuel, insurance and port fees

Not included

  • Walking on the volcano (the boats anchor offshore)
  • Nea Kameni national park entrance fee
  • Gratuities
Ready when you are

Tell us the date and what you are marking

Send the date, how many of you there are, and what the day is for. No payment is taken on this site. A person reads the message and answers the same day.

Common questions

Can we celebrate a special occasion onboard?

Yes, and a private charter is the right format for it. The boat is yours, the timing is yours, and the crew know what is happening. Tell us what you are marking when you book, so we can plan the afternoon around it rather than improvise it on the day.

Do you arrange flowers, a cake or a photographer?

No. We are the boat, not a planner. Anything decorative or edible that is not on our inclusions list comes aboard with you or with your planner. Tell us a week or two ahead and we will make room, keep it cold, or keep the deck clear for whoever is photographing.

Can I bring my own drinks or food on board?

We have not published a policy on guests bringing their own food or alcohol, and it may differ between a shared cruise and a private charter. Message us on WhatsApp before you buy a bottle for a celebration, so nobody is caught out at the boat.

Is there music on board?

Music is standard on Santorini catamarans, and on a private charter the playlist is normally yours. We have not published the specifics of our sound system or whether you can connect your own device, so confirm it with us first if the playlist is part of the plan.

Do you help with photos?

The crew will take photos and video on your phone at the moment that matters, gladly. Whether we can arrange a professional photographer as an add-on is not something we have published, so ask us on WhatsApp if you want that organised properly rather than assumed.

How many guests can the boat take?

Seventeen on a private charter, and no more than that. A shared cruise is capped for comfort. Crew are two or three on top of those numbers. If your party is larger than 17, tell us early and we will be honest about whether we can host it at all.
