Our cancellation policy, and what a weather day means
Cancel 7 or more days before your Santorini boat tour and you are refunded in full. If the captain cancels for weather, a call he makes on the morning, you choose a full refund or another date. Inside 7 days we have no published rule yet, so ask us on WhatsApp first.
This page says what happens to your money in every situation we can think of, including the three we have not settled yet. Where a rule is not written down, it says so, rather than printing a number we cannot stand behind.

Three rows above say not published. That is deliberate. Those terms have never been set down in writing, and we would rather leave a visible gap than invent a percentage. What the captain may change on the day is set out in the terms.
The two gaps, stated plainly
Two parts of this policy are genuinely undecided, and we are not going to guess at them in public.
Inside seven days. On a shared cruise, free cancellation runs up to seven days out. Closer than that, there is no rule on this site. What we can do depends on the date, the boat and whether the seats refill. Send a message and we will tell you where you stand before you commit to anything.
Deposits. There is no deposit. Nothing is taken when you book, and no payment is taken on this website at all: the booking form sends us an email, and a person replies with how and when to pay for the day itself.
Wind, not rain, is what stops boats in Santorini. The captain looks at the sea on the morning of your cruise and decides then. Nobody can tell you the night before with any honesty.
That call is about safety and it is final. We would rather move you than sail a day you will not enjoy.
How to cancel or move a date

- Say whether you want to move or to cancelSeven days or more out, moving a date is usually easier for everyone than a refund. It costs you nothing to ask for both options.
- We confirm in writingYou get the answer from the same people who run the boat, normally the same day. Nothing changes on your booking until that reply exists.
If we cancel, it is not your cancellation
The seven-day rule is for guests who change their minds. It has nothing to do with a weather day. If the captain stands the boat down, you are not inside anybody's window and you are not penalised. You take the money back or you take another date. There is a longer piece on weather cancellations and refunds if you want the detail.
Which is why we give the same booking tip to everyone: sail on your second or third day, not on your last. A rescheduled cruise needs somewhere to go. Book the last afternoon of your holiday and a windy morning costs you the trip, not just the date.

What is your cancellation policy?

Will I receive a refund if the operator cancels?
Yes. A weather cancellation by the captain is not a guest cancellation, so the seven-day rule never touches you. You are offered another date or your money back in full, and you choose which. Book early in your stay so a rescheduled cruise still fits before you fly home.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. There is no deposit, and no payment is taken on this website: the form sends us an email and a person replies with how and when to pay for the day itself. The very least notice a booking needs is 24 hours, and a request costs you nothing.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The captain reads the wind and the sea on the morning of your cruise. Mild wind usually means a rerouted itinerary rather than a cancellation: different stops, the same five hours. Strong wind means the boat stays in, and you take a full refund or another date in your stay.
Can I move my cruise to another date instead of cancelling?
Ask, and ask early. Seven days or more out it is usually the easier answer for everyone. Closer in, it depends on what the boat is already doing that week. Send us the old date and the date you would rather have, and we will tell you the same day.
