What this website does with your data
This website is static and keeps nothing about you. The booking form emails your request to us, sends you an acknowledgement, and stores nothing anywhere. There is no database, no account and no analytics. No cookie is set today, and none would ever be set without you accepting it first.
This is not a template. Every line below describes the site you are actually reading, which is a folder of plain HTML files, one PHP script that sends email, and nothing else.
What we collect, why, and how to get rid of it
| What | Why we have it | How long | How to remove it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name, email, phone, date, guest numbers, hotel and message | It is what a booking request is made of. We cannot answer you without it. | The email sits in our mailbox while your trip is arranged, and afterwards for as long as our records need it. | Email mailto:info@santoriniboattour.com and ask. We delete the thread and reply to say it is gone. |
| A hash of your IP address | The form counts recent submissions from one address so that a robot cannot flood the mailbox. | A temporary file holding timestamps from the last 5 minutes. It is a hash, not an address. | It clears itself. There is nothing in it that names you. |
| Your consent choice, if analytics is ever switched on | So a banner does not ask you the same question on every page. | In your own browser, until you clear it. It never reaches our server. | Clear site data for this domain in your browser. |
| Anything else | Nothing else is collected. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no profiling, no fingerprinting. | Not applicable. | Nothing to remove. |
That is the whole list. If you find anything on this site collecting more than this, tell us at info@santoriniboattour.com and we will take it out.
Who is asking
Santorini Boat Tour - Water Taxi, Fira, Thira 847 00, Greece, is the controller for this website. The person who answers info@santoriniboattour.com is the person who handles data requests. There is no agency, no marketing department and no third party sitting between you and us.
What happens when you press send
- You fill in the formNothing has left your browser yet. Nothing is saved while you type, and there is no autosave.
- The form posts to one scriptIt is the only server-side file on this site. It tidies the fields, checks a hidden spam trap and the rate limit, then moves on.
- Two emails go outOne to info@santoriniboattour.com carrying your request. One to you, confirming we have it, so you have a copy of what you sent.
- Nothing is written downNo database, no spreadsheet, no booking system, no mailing list. The only copies of your request are the two emails.
- You land on a thank-you pageIt has no form on it, no tracker and nothing to click except the way back into the site.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Under the GDPR we hold your booking request because you asked us for something. That is Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before a contract.
The spam check on the form is Article 6(1)(f), our own legitimate interest in a mailbox that is not full of robots. It holds a hash and a clock, and nothing more.
Cookies, and the analytics we do not run
There is no analytics on this site today. No Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Meta pixel. The measurement ID in our configuration file is empty, and while it is empty the site ships no tracking script at all. Not a disabled one. None.
If we ever fill it in, a banner appears before anything loads. Nothing is requested from Google until you press Allow, and pressing No thanks changes nothing about how the site works for you. Your answer is stored in your own browser, not on our server.
Other people's servers
The Google map on the contact page is a click-to-load panel. It is a grey box with a button until you press it, and Google receives nothing about you before that press.
The typefaces are served from this domain. Nothing is fetched from Google Fonts, so no request leaves your browser for a font, and no font host sees your address.
WhatsApp links open WhatsApp. From that point the conversation lives with Meta on their terms, exactly like any other message you send there. If you would rather not, info@santoriniboattour.com reaches the same people.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. You can object to us holding it, and you can ask us to hand it to someone else, though for a single email thread forwarding it yourself is usually faster.
- Asking: email mailto:info@santoriniboattour.com from the address you booked with, so we know it is you.
- Deletion: say so and we delete our copy of the thread, then reply to confirm.
- Timing: we answer inside a month, and in practice inside a week.
- Complaints: if we get it wrong, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority takes complaints about Greek companies.
When this page changes
The date stamped at the foot of this page is the last time it was edited. If we ever add analytics, a payment step or a booking system that stores data, this page changes before that goes live, and the date changes with it.
Want your details off our system?
There is not much of a system to be on. Email us and the thread goes, usually the same day.

Common questions
Do you use cookies?
No. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie and no session cookie on this site today. If we ever add measurement, a banner asks first and nothing loads until you accept it. Saying no leaves the site working exactly as it works now, with nothing withheld.
What happens to my details after the trip?
Your booking email stays in our mailbox while the trip is being arranged, and afterwards for as long as our records need it. It is not copied into a database, a mailing list or an advertising platform, because we do not run any of those. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Do you share my details with anyone?
No. Your request goes to one mailbox and stays there. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and your name is not passed to a booking platform. Our email is hosted, as everyone's is, so the provider carries the message in the ordinary technical sense.
How do I ask you to delete my data?
Email info@santoriniboattour.com from the address you booked with and say you want the thread deleted. We delete our copy and reply to confirm. If you travelled with us recently, tell us, because we may have to keep the accounting record for that trip a while longer.
